Summary
This work explores how nitric oxide functions as a neuromodulator affecting retinal ganglion cell activity. Using two-photon Ca²⁺ imaging and multi-electrode array (MEA) recordings, the study demonstrates that nitric oxide selectively modulates the suppression of temporal responses in a distinct subset of contrast-suppressed retinal ganglion cell types.
